The Specialty Of Imported German Beers

With imported German beers, you will find a wide variety of choices to choose from.  There are many lagers and ales that are made in Germany.

In this article, you will get a taste of some of the imported German beers that are available:

Weihenstephaner Hefeweissbler is an imported German beer that is produced with wheat.  The Bavarians are responsible for producing this kind of beer.  This beer’s flavor is unique and your nose can detect the smell of the yeast that is used to compile the barley and wheat.

This wheat based beer has been around in Germany for a long time.

Alaskan Brewing Company’s German alt is one that is very limited.  It is so limited that people trying to go out of Germany to find it will have a hard time doing so.  This beer is softer than the usual brown or amber colors.

You will not find much of a hops aroma here, if any.  If you can endure bitter tastes, then this imported German beer is for you.

Goose Island Summertime – Kölsch is brewed in Chicago.  However, the authentic ones are brewed in Cologne, Germany.  This included the Kölsch brand.  This brand is hard pressed to get away from the borders of Germany.

There are a few that get away, and when they do, you are hard pressed to find where they are.  This particular beer is unique because it uses ale yeast while it is brewing.  However, when the brew ages, it’s like a lager.  The beer is pale in color and contains some hopping.

Spaten Oktoberfest – This beer has a sweet taste to it.  It is also brown in color.  This beer is usually brewed during the month of March and presented in the fall season.  This brand is limited to when it’s available, which is usually from August to October or November at the latest.  There is another Oktoberfest that is brewed by Paulaner.  This brand is available any time of the year.

Aecht Schlenkeria Rauchbler – This beer is also known as “smoke beer”.  It is also similar to Oktoberfest with a sweet and malty taste.  When drinking this beer, you can also taste a smoky flavor.

This smoky flavor adds a unique taste to the beer itself.  It’s also been said by some that have drank this beer that you think of beef jerky when you’re drinking it.  This beer might be worth a shot if you’re looking for something out of the ordinary.

As you can see from this article, there are different kinds of imported German beers with different tastes.  Some are sweet, some are malty, and others just have a unique taste altogether that is indescribable.

You have to sample them in order to get a feel for what they taste like.

If you’re in Germany, in addition to the imported German beers, you may want to get a German beer glass to go along with your selection.  These beer glasses are personally chosen from the finest German breweries.

In fact, they’re so unique, just like some of their beers, the glasses are also hard to find outside of the country.
